The Palace of Culture and Science (Polish: Pałac Kultury i Nauki, abbreviation PKiN) is the tallest building in the city, and a point of reference for orientation. Constructed at the beginning of 1950, as a gift from the former Soviet Union to the Poland. This building has generated a lot of controversy between the Polish through the years; some love it and some don’t.
On the 30th floor there is a terrace, where you may appreciate a spectacular 360 degree view of Warsaw. There is as well a nice cafe, where you can sit, drink or eat something, appreciating this fabulous view. The ticket price to access this terrace is approximately 20 zł. The time schedule depend on the season fo the year.
